ANGRA (discografía)





Angra es una banda de rock progresivo brasileña fundada en 1991 en São Paulo, Brasil. El nombre “Angra” se deriva de la mitología tupiniquim, significando “deusa del fuego y la belleza”, y también se refiere a una pequeña enseada o baía utilizada como puerto natural (como en Angra dos Reis). Además, el vocalista André Matos sugirió que también se parecía al adjetivo inglés “angry”, que significa “enfadado”.

La banda se formó después de que André Matos, quien había sido miembro de la banda Viper entre 1985 y 1990, se reuniera con Rafael Bittencourt y André Linhares en la Facultad de Santa Marcelina en São Paulo. La formación original incluía también a Marco Antunes en la batería.
